Daytime Tour

Do we have to purchase tickets in advance?

Tickets must be purchased in advance. You may use our secure web payment page, or call (877)568-6877. We accept Visa, Master Card, or American Express. We do not accept cash.

Print out your e-ticket, or just show up after paying online, and your name will be on our list. It's that easy!

Please make sure you purchase tickets well in advance of your desired tour date, as our tours sell out quickly. We have a no refund policy.

How many people are on the tour? Do you limit the group size?

Four or more people have to be signed up for the tour to take place. We limit the size of our groups to 16 people for everyone's enjoyment.

What do I do if I'm late?

The Mad Men Tour leaves promptly at 3:00PM. We will be meeting in front of the entrance to the Pierre Hotel at 2 East 61st Street at 5th Ave. If you are running late, you may call (646)831-2625 and we'll try to locate the group. There are no guarantees we'll be able to get in touch with the tour guide, as he will be conducting the tour.

Can we order more drinks and food on our own?

You may order additional food and drinks at our last stop, The Grand Central Oyster Bar. One drink is included in the daytime tour, but you're more than welcome to start your own tab after the tour is finished.

What is the overall feel of the daytime Mad Men Tour?

Our Mad Men Tour is fun, engaging and informative. You will visit and learn all about the locations frequented on the show. Our Mad Men aficionado tour guide will show you the scenes from the show on an ipad. We'll be walking at a nice pace from place to place. You will enjoy a snack half way through the tour and a refreshing 60s style cocktail at the end of the tour.

Is there an age limit to take the tour?

There is not an age limit on the daytime Mad Men Tour.

Do you offer private group tours?

We offer private group tours. The Mad Men Tour is a great idea for a private corporate team building exercise, intern or summer associates activity, or simply friends wanting to get together for an afternoon of fun.

How much time does the guide discuss the show and how much time is spent drinking and socializing?

The daytime Mad Men Tour focuses on showing you the places frequented on the show and discussing Madison Avenue and the ad agencies of the 1960s. We end the tour with a 60s style cocktail and you're more than welcome to stay there and drink the day away in true Mad Men style. From our experience, people who were once strangers, become friends by the end of the tour.

Are gratuities included?

Gratuities are not included. While gratuities are never mandatory, they are much appreciated. The standard gratuity is 20% of the purchase price.

Do we have to dress up?

While dressing in 60s style clothing is encouraged and fun, you may wear whatever clothing you'd like. We will be stopping at some upscale establishments, so please dress accordingly. Wearing comfortable shoes is highly recommended.

How much will we be walking?

We will be walking roughly 1.5 miles at a nice easy pace. We'll be going into some of the establishments we visit and stopping and standing in front of other places to discuss there relevance to the show.

When will we receive our pictures?

We do not offer a package of vintage pictures on the daytime tour. However, you're truted sighseeing guide will take a group picture, which will be posted to our facebook page for you to view.

How many people are on the tour. Do you limit the group size?

We limit the size of our groups to 10 people for everyone's enjoyment. Unless someone books a private tour, we have a minimum of two separate groups of people. For example, there might be 2 groups of 5 people, or 5 groups of 2 people.

What do I do if I'm late?

The Mad Men Evening Tour begins at 7:00PM sharp. If you are running late, you may call (646)831-2625 and we'll try to locate the group. The first cocktail is enjoyed at The Grand Central Oyster Bar located in the main concourse of Grand Central Station. You may meet up with the group in the back dining room until around 7:45PM.

Can we order more drinks and food on our own?

You may order additional food and drinks on your own. Every group will have their own separate tab. Your Mad Men aficionado guide will let you know, 15 minutes prior to leaving the establishment, so you may order your drinks accordingly.

What is the overall feel of the Mad Men Cocktails Tour?

This is not just a tour, spend a night in New York City like Don or Peggy would have. Dress in your best 60's attire, skinny tie or red dress. We will walk the same streets featured on Mad Men and best of all we will drink where they drank. We will be stopping at 3 bars featured on the show and whether you prefer drinking a Manhattan or Tom Collins, we will pick up the tab. By night's end you will have learned about the ad industry of the 1960s, experienced a full tour of Madison Avenue and lived like a Mad Man or Woman in some of New York's most legendary watering holes.

Is there an age limit to take the tour?

Do you offer private group tours?

We offer private group tours. The Mad Men Cocktails Tour is a great idea for bachelor and bachelorette parties; corporate group team building; an experience activity for groups of friends wanting to do something fun together

How much time does the guide discuss the show and how much time is spent drinking and socializing?

Your Mad Men aficianado guide will discuss the significance of the places we visit to the show. He will also show you on an ipad the exact scene in the show that was depicted to take place at the establishment. We think of the tour as more a Mad Men experience. The guide points out things of interest along the way and keeps the night fun and exciting. A good portion of the night is spent drinking and socializing with other fans of Mad Men.

Do we have to dress up?

We will be stopping at some upscale establishments, so it is strongly encouraged to dress accordingly. Dressing in 60s attire is half the fun, and helps get you into the Mad Men frame of mind. This also makes for great photo ops throughout the tour.

Are the drinks paid for?

Yes. Your first drink at each of the 3 stops is included in the tour. Choose your favorite Mad Men era cocktail at each stop - be it a classic Martini, Manhattan or a French 75 - and sip in style like Don or Betty would have done.

How much will we be walking?

Total walking for the entire tour is 1 mile. The majority of the walking is a lovely stroll up Madison Avenue.
